How to Connect My Printer to WiFi
General wireless setup guide — works for most modern printers
📶 Method 1: Wireless Setup Wizard (Most Printers)
- Turn on your printer — make sure it is not connected via USB
- On the printer panel, press the Wireless or WiFi button
- Navigate to Settings → Wireless Setup Wizard
- Select your WiFi network name (SSID) from the list
- Enter your WiFi password using keypad or touchscreen
- Wait for the WiFi light to turn solid blue or green
- Print a Wireless Test Report to confirm
📱 Method 2: WPS Button (No Password Needed)
- Make sure your router has a WPS button
- On your printer, go to Settings → Wireless → WPS
- Select Push Button method
- Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router
- Printer connects automatically — WiFi light becomes solid
Note: WPS must be enabled on your router. If WPS is disabled, use Method 1 instead.
⚠️ WiFi Connection Not Working? Common Fixes
Can't find the network
Most printers only support 2.4GHz WiFi — not 5GHz. Check your router broadcasts on 2.4GHz.
Password not accepted
Passwords are case-sensitive. Try WPS method to skip the password entirely.
Connected but can't print
Make sure your computer is on the same WiFi network. Disable VPN if running.
WiFi light blinking
Printer is searching but not connected. Restart the printer and router, then try again.
